Atossa Alavi, J.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Atossa is a business/IP attorney with over 15 years of experience in strategy, management and implementation of intellectual property, Government compliance, and business development. She specializes in making elite technology available to the appropriate parties. As CEO of Immobileyes, she leads our efforts to bring advanced laser security to the right partnerships and markets globally. Atossa holds a law degree (JD) from Case Western Reserve University, and a Master of Philosophy degree in Neuroscience from the University of London.

Bahman Taheri, Ph.D.

Chief Technology Officer

Bahman a liquid crystal and laser physicist with over 30 years experience conducting research for Department of Defense and others to understand the effects of lasers on vision. He is the CEO of our sister company, AlphaMicron, providers of the world’s fastest switchable liquid crystal eyewear. He is named inventor on over 90 US and International patents. AlphaMicron’s products sell around the world and are used by the military and commercial consumers. He holds a PhD in physics from Oklahoma State University where he specialized in Nonlinear Optics and Laser Eye Protection.

Kamalika Ghatak, Ph.D.

Program Manager

Kamalika is a computational chemist with a Ph.D. in chemistry with over a decade of experience as a researcher. She oversees Immobileyes’ program management, as well as customer relations, opportunity capture, proposal writing, and business development. Kamalika is currently pursuing an MBA degree with a concentration in Business Analytics from Kent State University.


Yehuda BorensteinBusiness DevelopmentYehuda is a successful serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in start-ups. He started his career as a Elbit Systems where he created and ran a number of joint ventures with technology-based start-ups. He has successfully transitioned products from the military sector to the consumer market. Yehuda joined the team to assist in the implementation of Laser Storm in high value target environments. 

Yehuda Borenstein

Business Development

Yehuda is a successful serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in start-ups. He started his career as a Elbit Systems where he created and ran a number of joint ventures with technology-based start-ups. He has successfully transitioned products from the military sector to the consumer market. Yehuda joined the team to assist in the implementation of Laser Storm in high value target environments. 

Vince O’Malley

Product Advisor

A senior Electronics Design Engineer and Product Innovator with 20 years of product design and management experience is our new product advisor. Vince’s areas of expertise include technology based protective eyewear, consumer electronics, embedded computer systems development, digital video systems, and solar powered devices. Experienced in conformance testing for commercial, safety, and military products, Vince brings his expertise to advise on current and future product lines.

Roshan Sivakumar

Engineer & Research Assistant

Roshan is an electronic engineer and programmer with experience in data analysis and the interaction of consumer electronics and biomedical engineering. He brings extensive expertise in computational modeling and sensor development to assist with future products. He holds a BS, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, and a MS in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from CWRU.


Austin Thebner

Design Engineer

Austin is a Kent State university student pursuing Bachelor degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautical systems engineering technology, with experience in robotics, manufacturing and 3d design. He works with law enforcement to create and improve the design of tactical equipment and with the Immobileyes team to develop their ideas into reality using 3d modeling and rapid prototyping.

Jessica Yox

Account Manager

Jessica is a small business advisor for the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Cleveland State University. She holds a wealth of expertise in government contracting, with eight years of experience in various learning and development roles. She has a BS, Business Administration in Finance from University at Buffalo School of Management, and a Master's Degree in Accounting from Cleveland State University. 

Josué Vera

Administrative Assistant

Meticulous and task-driven with years of administrative experience in project management, event planning, and team communication. Equipped with the skills to enhance executive productivity, support daily operations, and create digital organizational infrastructures. He holds an MA from New York University and a BA from the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music.

Tom is CEO of Dorcy International-Life+Gear, a leading manufacturer of portable lighting products based in Columbus, Ohio with international locations in Canada, Florida, Australia and Hong Kong. Currently focussed on Solid State (LED) lighting technologies, Dorcy comes with a 50 year record of innovation in flashlight development and retail and a global Sales and marketing team. IN addition, Tom is a founding member of Portable Lights Trade Organization (PLATO), an industry trade organization that established the ANSI/PLATO FL 1 2016 Standard.

Scot MacTaggart’s career is uniquely suited to his advisory role with Immobileyes, with extensive management, consulting and advisory experience in both electronic security systems and in growing young companies. Prior to cofounding the KRNLS consulting firm in 2017, Scot spent 15 years in leadership roles with security systems integrators, and as a member of ASIS International, serving corporate and government clients in the adoption of upgraded technologies, including electronic access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, command centers and communications.

Emily Fehrman Cory

Business Operations Advisor

With a PhD in electro-optics and experience working at AFRL, WBI and The University of Dayton, Emily brings two decades of knowledge and experience to augment the executive leadership of small businesses through periods of explosive growth and pivotal change. With a focus on R&D, commercialization and manufacturing, Emily is guiding our business to collaborate with academia, government and industry to amplify our vision. She pioneered the AFRL program for using maker space technology, set up a world-class Maker Hub at WBI and has expert knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, rapid prototyping, commercialization, and strategic planning.

Jordan Strauss

Risk Management Advisor

Jordan is a recognized expert in crisis and incident preparedness and response. He has served as a Director for Incident Management on the White House National Security Council Staff, as Director of Preparedness and Response for the National Security Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, as the Deputy Justice Attache in Afghanistan, and as a federal prosecutor and trial attorney. Jordan teaches “National Security Law” at the Thomas Kline School of Law at Drexel University, and is a Managing Director at Kroll, where he leads complex investigations, business crisis response, and other sensitive matters.  He is a fellow at the Kroll Institute, and is featured regularly as a commentator on national and international news programs.
